Here at Financial Advice Matters we have been working with families, some now for over 20 years, to provide personal financial advice, which is an achievement we are proud of. Personal financial advice can mean different things to different people. For us, it's about helping our clients build, protect, and manage their wealth through their entire life journey.

It means really getting to know our clients, having meaningful conversation and uncovering their goals and aspirations, and together, implementing a plan towards achieving these goals.

Importantly, it's then about regularly revisiting the plan, keeping our clients in control of their situation, and acting as the accountability coach to keep them on track.

The Financial Areas we can help with:

  • Goal Setting

  • Budgeting

  • Investing

  • Tax

  • Debt Management

  • Superannuation

  • Insurance

  • Retirement & Lifestyle Planning

  • Planning for the Unexpected

  • Estate Planning

Your Advice Journey

Another side of our business is Financial Wellness Matters (FWM). Personal wellness has many dimensions, however the link between financial and mental wellbeing is stronger and more established than you may think. According to research conducted by Beyond Blue in 2022, people experiencing financial challenges are at least twice as likely to encounter mental health issues than those that aren't.

These financial challenges and hardships, especially in the current financial climate, can have a substantial effect not only on someone's work performance, but in their personal matters as well. The longer this goes unseen and unsupported, the worse it can progress.

FWM works with a number of organisations delivering a multi-module structured education program to help them greater support their employees to understand their financial positions, and provide them the tools and skills they need to empower them to alleviate some of the financial pressures they may be facing.

Their range of programs are designed to encourage conversations around managing money and to be part of a company's long-term wellbeing strategy. They are offered for 1, 4 6 and 12 months in length, and cover a range of topics from:

  • Budgeting

  • Goal Setting

  • Debt Management

  • Investing

  • Superannuation

  • Insurance

  • Retirement Planning

  • Estate Planning

  • Tax Planning

… and a range of specialised topics to suit your program requirements and preferences

As trusted education partners, they will do the heavy lifting for you and develop a tailored education program that suits your needs best to help start your financial wellness journey. The programs are made up of multiple elements:
